Santadi ROCCA RUBIA Carignano del Sulcis Riserva Sardinia
Description: Santadi stands out as one of the best examples of co-operative winemaking in Sardinia. Founded in 1960, it currently has 250 members cultivating 400 hectares of vineyards in the Sulcis area, on the south-western side of the island. A deep red colour, with a rich smoky nose of damson, spice and French oak on the nose. A full flavoured wine, quite soft with a meaty earthy richness. The Palate is showing chocolate and damson as well as a hint of oak. A big powerful wine showing richness and flavour with a long finish. (6 x 75 cl)

Description: This Gevrey-Chambertin from Jean-Claude Boisset is made using fruit from old vines, primarily from two Premier Cru vineyards in Gevrey. Boisset used to buy wine from the grower who owns the Crepiot vineyard, but since Gregory's arrival they buy grapes instead. In addition, Gregory has worked closely with the grower to improve the quality of the fruit arriving at the winery. This quality shines through in the finished wine, which has lovely black cherry fruit giving way to a minerally yet luscious character on the palate. (6 x 75 cl)

Domaine Lafran Veyrolles TRADITION Bandol AC
Description: Intense dark brooding wine of damson and cherry fruit with rich woody spice, mixed herbs, and idodine notes. Delicious black fruit pastille pallet, well structured with fine tannins. Super long finish with fruit right to the end. The Jouve-Ferec family runs this small, traditional estate, with just 10 ha of vines in the classic clay-limestone terre rouge of Bandol. Bando is Provence's most important wine region and one, moreover that fulfills many modern wine drinker's criteria for pleasure. The white and rose deserve attention, but it's the reds that have made Lafran Veyrolles one of the stars of the appellation.
