100% Merlot this red spends 18 months in 225-litre French barriques . The result of this is a deep red coloured wine showing ripe berry flavours with a hint of mint. A rich and full bodied Merlot to enjoy through to the enjoyable finish. De Waal Wine Estate, produced at Uiterwyk Wine Estate, situated in the cool Stellenbosch Hills, has been a De Waal family concern since 1864. The wines combine elegant Old World finesse and abundant New World fruit and was one of the first producers of Merlot in South Africa. The 1984 was the maiden vintage and was considered such good quality that it was chosen to be served to the first class passengers of South African Airways in 1986. (12 x 75 cl)

Eredi Carlo Tamborini Terre di Gudo Bianco Switzerland
Description: No this is not a printing error, this is a white wine vinified from the normal Merlot grape. This is a light-golden wine with simmers of green. 7% has been aged in barrique to enhance the delicate fruit and it gives a very pleasant balance to the wine. A wine that should not be served too cold otherwise all the Merlot flavours tend to be drowned. A wine to test, the wine buff friends. (12 x 75 cl)
