Concha y Toro ISLA NEGRA Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Chile
Description: This hand harvested wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon , Merlot and a little Carmenere , Syrah as well as Aspiran Bouchet . Once in the winery this wine spends 6 months in French oak barrels and wine maker Adolfo Hurtado considered: 'This Cabernet Sauvignon epitomises the delicious fruit-forward characteristics of this variety with its rich ruby red colour and plum, raspberry and blackcurrant nose. Elegant and structured in the mouth, there are traces of blackcurrant and very subtle mint on the palate. A wine of pronounced tipicity, this Cabernet is a great example of the first variety through which Chile’s Central Valley became known as a vine-growing paradise.' (12 x 75 cl)

Concha y Toro TRIO Merlot Carmenere Cabernet Sauvignon Chile
Description: This Concha Y Toro is a blend of three grape varieties Merlot, Carmenere and Cabernet Sauvignon and it is an attractive and generous wine that delivers an expressive array of soft and velvety tannins. Merlot is 65% of the blend. The Merlot grapes from the Rapel Valley soften the Cabernet Sauvignon’s tannins and enhances the silkiness of the Carmenere. Vinified separately the Merlot is aged for 14 months in French and American oak barrels. Carmenere is 20% of the blend and is again sourced form the Rapel Valley and is aged for 14 months in French barrels. It delivers a wealth of aromas, deep colour, silky texture and a fulfilling taste. Finally, the Maipo Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% of the blend, adds structure and a longer finish to this premium blend. It is again aged for 16 months in French oak barrels. Trio has the characteristic aromas of damsons with hints of chocolate and casis on the palate, smooth tannins and a nice finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Montes Unoaked Cabernet Sauvignon Chile
Description: Montes were and still are one of the pioneers of top quality Chilean wine. Their objective has always been to create wines of finesse and balance. Their success in this is shown by the International WINE Challenge Gold Medals for in 2000 and also the International WINE and Spirit Competition Gold Medals for Alpha Chardonnay in I999 and Alpha 'M' in 2000. Aurelio Montes is the creator of the wines and was Chilean winemaker of the year in 1995. They continue to invest in vineyards. Their vineyard, La Finca de Apalta, in Colchagua, is a dramatic exercise in rock moving, ground clearing and planting on the lower slopes. They have recently acquired 300 hectares at Marchigue further along the Colchagua Valley towards the Pacific Coast. Recent wine developments are the new Alpha Syrah and Reserve Pinot Noir. Aurelio has brought his delicate touch to these two difficult grapes to create typical Montes wines of real character and finesse (24 x 37.5 cl)
