Odfjell Vineyards ORZADA Cabernet Sauvignon Maipo Valley Chile
Description: Over 20 years ago, the pioneering Norwegian Armador, Dan Odfjell discovered and fell in love with a small corner of the famous Maipo Valley, Chile. Born of rain in Bergen, Norway, he could not resist the attraction of the austral sun in this Virgilian setting. Serendipity would later show that he had found land in Chile's premium red wine producing valley, where vitis vinifera has been cultivated since the 17th century. Here a soothing coastal breeze produces a microclimate conducive to distinct and beautiful wines on the 85 hectares planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenere, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. This hand harvested Cabernet Sauvignon has a little Cabernet Franc added to the wine. Partly aged in French and American Oak barrels it is unfined and unfiltered to produce a deep red coloured wine with nice violet reflections. Rich, ripe, focused and concentrated aromas showing blackcherry and plum are complemented by oak and vanilla notes. On palate, it is ripe, round, sweet and velvety with beautifully balanced acidity leading to a lengthy finish. (6 x 75 cl)

Description: Based in the Limari Valley, Casa Tamaya is located in Cerrillos de Tamaya in Chile's IV Region, and has recently been recognized for its extraordinary potential for producing fine wines, due to its ideal climate and soils. Vina Casa Tamaya is set in 210 hectares of which 108 of are planted to vines. The vineyards were established in 1997 and its primary white grape varieties are Chardonnay, Viognier, and Sauvignon Blanc and the red grapes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenere, Syrah and Sangiovese. A deep purple coloured wine, with intense aromas showing nuances of ripe blackberries, black cherries and violets. On the palate the wine is smooth and elegant, leaving notes of blueberries, mint and truffles culminating in a long finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Description: Casillero del Diablo offers wine lovers the very special opportunity to participate in the propagation of a century old legend known throughout the world. In the 19th century, the founder of Concha y Toro, Don Melchor, discovered that his vineyard workers were sampling his greatest wines. To discourage this action, Don Melchor spread the rumor that his deepest, darkest cellar was the Casillero del Diablo , so that no one would dare go in there. It worked, and a legend was born. Today, this mysterious and legendary cellar continues to hold the finest, estate grown wines of Casillero del Diablo. This wine is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Carmenere. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, 70% of the wine is aged in small American oak for six to eight months, 30% is aged in stainless steel for 8 months. A dark red coloured wine with a great bouquet of appealing ripe cherries, black currant and dark plums with a touch of vanilla and toasted oak.
