Rich, ripe and exotic, it strikes a balance of ripe Napa Valley fruit with nuances of sweet oak from 100% barrel fermentation and extended, 10 months on lees, barrel ageing. Use of wild yeast in a portion of the fermentation and sur lie aging adds layers of complexity. This Chardonnay has a straw yellow appearance with aromas of ripe apple, pear, and honey with toasty oak. The flavours are complex and concentrated; an intriguing blend of power and finesse with elements of nutmeg and sweet spice complemented by the rich fruit. (12 x 75 cl)
