Today, Delicato harvests more than 10,000 acres of vineyards across the top grapegrowing regions of California. These range from the coastal cool of the legendary San Bernabe Vineyard in Monterey to the rolling foothills of Lodi. A celebrated team of highly experienced winemakers has brought decades of expertise to bear on these remarkable grapes, to create Delicato wines of distinctive character and memorable quality. Most of the Chardonnay fruit selected for this wine was harvested from some of the oldest vineyard blocks in the San Bernabe Vineyard in Southern Monterey County. These twenty-five year old blocks have historically borne fruit of great depth and intensity of flavour. This deep golden Chardonnay showcases the great depth of Monterey and San Bernabe Vineyard fruit flavour. The aroma is of fresh pears, ripe apples, and tropical fruit all wound tightly around an enticing butterscotch core. In the mouth the wine is full-bodied, rich and silky and reminiscent of pineapple, coconut and lemon peel. The long, rich finish is enhanced by hints of spicy oak. (12 x 75 cl) Price: £104.91
