Guerrieri Rizzardi RECIOTO di Soave Classico DOCG Veneto
Description: The name Recioto comes from the local dialect word recia meaning the upper ears or twigs of the grape bunch where it is supposed the grapes are riper and healthier than those at the centre of the bunch. The Recioto di Soave is a dessert wine of rare quality, golden yellow in colour and with an intense and fruity bouquet. Few are the wine producers who willingly venture into making this wine whose perfection is provided by the coming together of a series of circumstances which must be synchronised one with another. Variations in climate, the soil, the progression of the season, good drying of the grapes and the unpredictable process of winter fermentation all limit production to the best years. The grapes were harvested in September. A dessert wine which is drunk at between 12ºC and 14ºC. (6 x 37.5 cl)

Botromagno GRAVISANO Passito di Malvasia Murgia Bianco IGT
Description: Available in half bottles. The Botromagno winery was founded in 1991 following a merger between the local cooperative winery and the D'AGOSTINO family. Since the merger, considerable investments have been made to insure consistently high quality. The winery is implemented with the latest bottling equipment, temperature control systems and pneumatic presses. This wine is named for a varietal that was once found in Gravina but is now extinct. Documents from the 1700s mention a vine called Gravisano from wich very small amounts of a rich and sweet wine was made for special occasions and served with traditional almond biscotti. Today, the wine is made from 100% Malvasia bianca and after harvest the grapes are left to dry on staw mats for one month and then pressed softly and lightly macerated. Fermentation is carried out in small French barrels of Allier to produce a great dessert wine. (6 x 37.5 cl)
