Louis Latour CHARDONNAY DE L'ARDECHE Vin de Pays des Coteaux de l'Ardeche
Description: Maison Louis Latour, whilst guarding a very traditional image, have proved themselves to be the most innovative wine makers in Burgundy. In this fashion we sought to expand into an area which would suit the noble Chardonnay grape. In 1979 we decided on the valley of the Ardeche river with its limestone based soils as the ideal location to produce top-quality vin de pays Chardonnay. Using Gravity-fed presses, stainless steel vats and temperature controlled fermentation with 100% malolactic fermentation, Louis Latour has produced a wine with deliciously apple-fresh flavours, crisp acidity and a smooth finish. Domaine de Pellehaut HARMONIE Blanc Cotes de Gascogne
Description: Domaine de Pellehaut is situated at the highest point in the district of Montreal du Gers and today covers 530 hectares of which 150 hectares are vines. It is a true farming estate run in a traditional way by Gaston Beraut and his sons, Martin and Mathieu. The vines are only situated on the slopes and is a blend of Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Gros Manseng, Chardonnay and Sauvignon of which the proportions vary according to the vintage. The harvesting is done mechanically once the grapes have reached full maturity. The different grape varieties are picked and vinified separately. Fermentation lasts around 15 days, at the end of the fermentation, after one single racking, the wines are aged in vats on their natural lees for 3 to 5 months and then kept in vats at 5ºC, until bottling. The final blending takes place at the end of the ageing and only the best vats will produce Domaine de Pellehaut. As a result this white has a powerful aromatic nose with fresh acidity and intense flavours on the palate. With remarkable fresh acidity, this wine shows a wide-range of aromas on the nose with floral notes , citrus and tropical fruit . The palate is perfectly balanced with good acidity and great complexity, while the Chardonnay adds great length to the wine. (12 x 75 cl)

Description: This Gascony domaine is owned by the Grassa family who are one of the best producers in this beautiful corner of France. Commited to protecting the environment both in the vineyards and the winery, they use organic fertiliser and the use of sulphites has been reduced to a minimum. Maceration of the grapes and a long, cool fermentation maintains the freshness and fruit flavours in the finished wine. Domaine de la Vougeraie CLOS DU PRIEURE Blanc Vougeot
Description: Though Vougeot is best known for the highly reputed Clos de Vougeot, covering almost 126 acres, the Premier Cru and Village appellations in the remaining 41 acres should not be forgotten. This 100% Chardonnay is aged in barrels for 11 months and is a pale golden colour full of light, with green hints. A good nose it is quite closed, which opens after aeration to reveal mineral notes, almost chalky, complimented by floral and menthol fragrances. The attack is clean, the mouth voluptuous, yet elegant, with aromas of bitter almond, held together by good acidity which brings its crispness to the fore. With a length worthy of a 1er cru, it has a savory finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine Des Gerbeaux CHAMPS ROUX Pouilly Fuisse
Description: Beatrice and Jean-Michel Drouin's started as a humble supplier of wines to negociants, but began estate bottling their own wines in 1994. They are still a tiny winery with a miniscule production but now the quality of their wines is attracting serious international attention. Based in Solutre next to the famous Rock, their 6 hectares of vineyards are scattered throughout the surrounding area. They are generous, fruit-laden wines characterised by grapefruit and mineral flavours that can hold their own against much of the Cote de Beaune. This single vineyard Chardonnay uses grapes from 80 years old vines. This has produced a wine showing a minerally restrained nose with some gentle oak and fat buttery fruit. Very well structured with elements of lees and delicate oak it finishes with good long length. (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine Fernand Lecheneaut CLOS DE LA ROCHE Grand Cru
Description: In the early 1960's, this 22 acre estate was created by Fernand Lecheneaut while he worked for a négociant in Beaune. He took advantage of opportunities to buy parcels of various vineyards, and finally quit the shipper trade when he had acquired enough. Based mainly in the Côte de Nuits, spread through the appellations of Nuit-St-Georges, Morey-St-Denis, Vosne Romanée and Chambolle Musigny, where it is planted with 90% Pinot Noir. In addition the Domaine have a small vineyard in the grand cru Clos de la Roche in Morey-St-Denis. The remaining 10% of grapes produced are evenly divided between Chardonnay and Aligote. Their annual production of 2,500 cases comes in 13 different bottlings and availability is strictly limited. Domaine Fernand Lecheneaut has been run since 1985 by brothers Vincent and Philippe Lecheneaut. The Estate in Nuits St Georges is considered one of the finest in Burgundy and tradition is the by-word for the wines made here. Once harvested the wine spends 18 months in barrique without any fining or filtration. The wines produced are superbly crafted, concentrated yet forward and elegant with well integrated oak. A Grand Cru Pinot Noir densely packed with super-ripe black fruits, depth, balance, concentration, and immense length.

De Venoge BLANC de BLANCS Vintage Champagne
Description: Established in Epernay since 1839, De Venoge naturally has very close links with the Côte des Blancs and Sézanne, the two main growing areas for chardonnay. So since the middle of the 19th century our Vintage Blanc de Blancs has been made with a blend of 80% grapes from the Côte des Blancs and 20% from the area around Sézanne. It therefore stands out from other Blancs de Blancs made in Champagne and shows the superbly balanced acidity and structure of the grapes from the Côte and the vinosity of those from Sézanne. Like all great white wines De Venoge Blanc de Blancs can be drunk as an aperitif, with seafood or with fish.
