Description:
An up-front, easy drinking wine for current consumption. A very dense colour leads to a nose with pleasant oak characters resting on ripe plum fruit flavours, with a touch of chocolate and coconut. The palate is rich and ripe, with fine tannins and a powerful finish. Will improve over the next two or three years, but presently a soft, seductive Shiraz style with lots of current drinking appeal. Fermentation was conducted in stainless steel tanks at low temperature with a specialist strain of Riesling yeast designed to retain aromatics. After the grape stripping, fermentation is carried-out at a controlled maximum temperature of 26º. In the heart of the Rioja, we find the vineyards of the Entrecepas Wine Cellars. The grape harvest in our vineyards is done by hand and the grapes are taken to the wine cellar in small trailers so as not to damage them.
