Jacques Veritier Vin de Table Blanc Description: The wines for the Jacques Veritier range are sourced from a number of co-operatives in south and south west France. The wines are made using the very latest winemaking techniques to produce modern, forward fruity wines, designed for immediate drinking. Domaine de Pellehaut HARMONIE Blanc Cotes de Gascogne
Description: Domaine de Pellehaut is situated at the highest point in the district of Montreal du Gers and today covers 530 hectares of which 150 hectares are vines. It is a true farming estate run in a traditional way by Gaston Beraut and his sons, Martin and Mathieu. The vines are only situated on the slopes and is a blend of Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Gros Manseng, Chardonnay and Sauvignon of which the proportions vary according to the vintage. The harvesting is done mechanically once the grapes have reached full maturity. The different grape varieties are picked and vinified separately. Fermentation lasts around 15 days, at the end of the fermentation, after one single racking, the wines are aged in vats on their natural lees for 3 to 5 months and then kept in vats at 5ºC, until bottling. The final blending takes place at the end of the ageing and only the best vats will produce Domaine de Pellehaut. As a result this white has a powerful aromatic nose with fresh acidity and intense flavours on the palate. With remarkable fresh acidity, this wine shows a wide-range of aromas on the nose with floral notes , citrus and tropical fruit . The palate is perfectly balanced with good acidity and great complexity, while the Chardonnay adds great length to the wine. (12 x 75 cl) Price: £53.88

Domaine du Tariquet Ugni Blanc/Colombard Vins de Pays des Cotes de Gascogne
Description: For the past 20 years the Grassa family have been putting Vin de Pays des Cotes de Gascogne on the viticultural map and have established a worldwide reputation for their various Domaines, from Gold medal after Gold medal in international competitions to the world's leading wine writers citing Yves Grassa as one of the world's most dynamic and innovative winemakers. Indeed, back in 1989 the Domaine du Tariquet Ugni Blanc/Colombard won White Wine of the Year at the International Wine Challenge . Domaine Tariquet is the property where Yves Grassa lives on the family estate and it is here that he tends his most precious vines. The style of winemaking is always one of freshness, elegance and finesse and the Domaine Tariquet range is no exception. Yves is passionate about his winemaking and as a perfectionist is constantly looking at ways of improving what most people agree is a faultless operation, even to the point that he sleeps on a camp bed between the vats during vinification, just in case a minor adjustment needs to be made to the temperature! The "entry level" Ugni Blanc/Colombard is fresh and zesty, with bags of melon and peach fruit and incredible finish, while the Sauvignon makes many a Sancerre producer blush. His Chardonnay is fermented and matured in 3 different types of wood and yeasts from California, Australia and Burgundy are used. The Chardonnay/Sauvignon is a rare animal indeed (12 x 75 cl) Price: £91.76
