El Coto CRIANZA Rioja
Description: El Coto De Rioja vinified its first grapes in 1970, and this vintage was released in 1975. In its brief history El Coto has been aiming for continuous improvement and development, while all the resources generated are automatically reinvested. This is a basic line the policy of a 'bodega' that is all the time seeking to improve its wines and its activities. The El Coto vineyards are located in Cenicero , close to the Najerilla river , facing Northwest and with a, predominantly, ferric-clayey soil. The rest of the grapes come from selected winegrowers in Rioja Alavesa. Fermented in stainless steel vats for 20-25 days, with frequent remontages and extended maceration in order to achieve the right equilibrium among the fruity and the tannic sides of the extract. This wine is aged for 14 months in American white oak from the Northern Appalachian mountains in U.S.A. These barriques have a 225 litres capacity, are medium toasted and previously dried for two years. The wine is then aged in bottle for at least 6months. This Red ruby coloured Tempranillo is harmonic, well balanced, with vanilla and oak hints. Soft and long in the mouth this wine shows a fantastic fruit concentration combining the subtle strawberry aromas so typical of the Rioja Tempranillo with the notorious vanilla bouquet of the American oak. (12 x 75 cl)

Concha y Toro CASILLERO DEL DIABLO Shiraz Rapel Valley Chile
Description: Casillero del Diablo offers wine lovers the very special opportunity to participate in the propagation of a century old legend known throughout the world. In the 19th century, the founder of Concha y Toro, Don Melchor, discovered that his vineyard workers were sampling his greatest wines. To discourage this action, Don Melchor spread the rumor that his deepest, darkest cellar was the Casillero del Diablo , so that no one would dare go in there. It worked, and a legend was born. Today, this mysterious and legendary cellar continues to hold the finest, estate grown wines of Casillero del Diablo. A classic New World Shiraz aged in American oak for 8 months and full of blackberries and dark plums, not to mention that spicy Shiraz note and mouth-filling vanilla character, you can even taste the hints of New World Shiraz chocolate. (12 x 75 cl)
