Pieropan Soave Classico DOC
Description: Pieropan Soave Classico is dominated by 90% Garganega as well as a little 10% Trebbiano di Soave), the heart of the Soave DOC. This white is a brilliant, straw yellow colour with greenish hints. The delicate nose is reminiscent of almond blossoms, cherry blossoms and lilies of the valley. Complex on the palate, it has a good depth of fruit that is nicely balanced by a zingy acidity that enhances its long length. The Company was founded by Dr. Leonildo Pieropan in 1890. Whilst his two sons, Fausto and Gustavo took on the company and ran it with the same passion, it was however, the youthful enthusiasm of his grandson Leonildo that revolutionised it into the company it is today. (12 x 75 cl)

Tommasi Viticoltori VIGNETO MONTE CROCE Recioto di Soave Classico DOCG
Description: Tommasi Viticoltori is a family firm founded in 1902 by Giacomo Tommasi and today the estate is run by the 4th generation of family. From grandfather Giacomo's tiny vineyard, the Tommasi estate has grown steadily and now extends over 135 hectares of hillside vineyard blessed by mother nature, not only by a magnificent landscape, but more importantly by its perfect suitability for grapes. The family owns exceptionally well situated estates for the production of high quality white wine in the D.O.C. regions of Soave and near Lake Garda for Lugana, Custoza and Bardolino . In addition, it has vineyards in Valdadige, a valley created by the Adige river in the mountains north of the province of Verona. This extraordinary wine is produced from grapes grown on the tiny terraced plot named 'Monte Croce', located on the 'Monte Foscarino' a prestigious hillside in the county of Monteforte near Soave. The wine has warm, sweet and intense aromas, with hints of honey showing a full-bodied and velvety style as well as hints of honey and almond. Available in half bottles. (12 x 37.5 cl)

Cantina Negrar Soave Classico DOC
Description: Seven gentlemen, on august 23, 1933, set an appointment in the offices of Francesco Betteloni, notary public, to sign the deed giving birth to the Cantina Sociale Valpolicella. Today, the Cantina Valpolicella directs and coordinates the production of approximately 200 grape-growers with vineyards covering a total of 450 hectares. All these are located in the classic Valpolicella hillside zone. All have the same dedication and passion as the original founders. They work together and in their mutual interests to turn member producer's grapes into high quality wines, performing activities that improve winemaking and grape-growing knowledge and culture. The vineyards are situated on about 450 hectares in the classical Valpolicella Hills area Northwest of Verona, which are mostly concentrated in the town of Negrar. The most used system of cultivation is the traditional Pergola system, with about 2,500-3,000 plants per hectare, while the average age of the vines is 20 years. The cultivation of the vineyard has among its primary objectives the maximum possible degree of respect for nature: for this reason, biological techniques are used, and pesticides are used as little as possible. The harvest is done entirely by hand, with many selections for special wines, such as the Amarone, produced from single vineyards to exalt its characteristics. For this Soave the Garganega and Trebbiano grapes are used as prescribed by production regulations, with a small quantity of Chardonnay. Winemaking is traditional with soft pressing and skinless fermentation. Light refining follows in steel and then stabilisation and bottling. This has produced a straw yellow coloured wine, the palate is zesty and harmonious taking you through to a long finish with plenty of elegance. (6 x 75 cl)
