Description: Fairview Pinotage is an excellent example of this difficult variety. Made to be food friendly, it is vibrant purple red, showing spicy dark fruit flavours on the nose. The palate is savoury with ripe soft tannins and opulent fruit Fairview is situated on the lower slopes of Mt. Paarl, which is more sheltered from the moderating maritime influence than nearby Stellenbosch. Fairview has been planted with vines since 1699.
