Glen Carlou QUARTZ STONE Chardonnay Paarl RSA
Description: Single Vineyard Chardonnay Aged in 100% New French Oak for 11 months has produced a deep yellow green brilliant coloured wine. Displaying Yeasty, spicy, tropical fruit – with cinnamon and sourdough on the palate it reveals rich complex layers of New World fruit with leesy, sourdough and cinnamon undertones set in a classic French style. Long lasting juicy fruit flavours on the palate, with full mouthfeel the gripping structure and acidity deliver through to the long finish. Glen Carlou was established in 1985 by one of the country’s most revered winemakers, the pioneering Walter Finlayson. In 1994 Walter was joined by his son David and together the Finlaysons have built the winery’s reputation and stature to become one of South Africa’s premier wine producers. Today it continues to flourish under the ownership of the international Hess Group. (6 x 75 cl)
