Description: One of the first and largest wineries in Chile, Santa Rita was founded in 1880 by Don Domingo Fernandez and is now headed by Ricardo Claro Valdez. With a history stretching back over a hundred years, Santa Rita's combination of tradition and innovation, with a focus on terroir makes this prestigious estate one of Chile's best. The grapes come mainly from vineyards in the foothills of the Andes Mountains and due to the climate and terrior the Sauvignon Blanc variety takes longer to ripen, allowing the development of all its characters and concentration. This pale yellow coloured wine is showing fresh, bright citrus and pear fruit flavours followed by smoke and a touch of herb that makes this a lively and flavourful wine. (12 x 75 cl)
