Hugel et Fils JUBILEE Riesling Alsace
Description: The Riesling JUBILEE comes from the historic HUGEL family estates in the heart of the Grand Cru Schoenenbourg slope. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand and taken in small tubs to the presses, which is filled by gravity, without any pumping or other mechanical intervention. After pressing, the must is decanted for a few hours, then fermented in temperature-controlled barrels or vats . The wine is racked just once, before natural clarification during the course of the winter. The following spring, the wine is lightly filtered just before bottling, and the bottles are then aged in our cellars until released for sale. Nice concentration and depth, dominated by pale green reflections, star bright, slowly forming legs of average thickness. Harmonious and balanced bouquet, A remarkably well balanced wine, its structure is perfectly matched by its distinguished, ripe acidity. A wine of great depth and with a long future stretching before it. (12 x 75 cl)

Thanks to an long Summer, Hugel interrupted picking from 7th October until 7th November, with extraordinary results. Noble rot that developed during that period enabled Hugel to produce, for the first time since 1976, significant amounts of Selection De Grains Nobles wines. wines all come from the historic HUGEL family estates in the heart of the Grand Cru Sporen slope. As for the rest of our production, our grapes are harvested exclusively by hand. Very intense yellow-gold colour, deep and rich.
