Chateau Lagrange 3eme Cru Classe St Julien OWC
Description: Located entirely in the Saint Julien appellation, the vineyard is blanted in a single block on two Gunzian gravel rises oriented north-south. At 24 meters above sea level, the center of the domaine is the highest point in Saint Julien. The red grape varieties, consistent with the Medoc terroir, planted are Cabernet Sauvignon contributing the structure and ageing potential, Merlot provides the fullness and flesh and Petit Verdot supplies the fruit anf typicity. Traditional manual harvesting allows the best grapes to be selected, vinified in stainless steel vats between 15 and 20 days and aged in Oak Bordeaux barrells 60% new each year and fining takes place using fresh egg whites with traditional racking by candle. The wine is very Medocain in style with a noble and refined nose. Very expressive in the mouth, the wine is longer than it is thick. It is lively and savory with firm tannin on the finnish and no roughness. Availabe in original wooden case. (12 x 75 cl)
