Torbreck THE FACTOR Shiraz Barossa Valley
Description: This wine is composed of 100% Shiraz and was first produced from the 1998 vintage. In the early 1980s valuable Australian Shiraz vineyards were pulled out because of lack of market interest. The movement to cool climate viticulture and wine made the Barossa, of all places, look rather irrelevant. However this trend reversed dramatically with the internationalization of the Australian wine market and renewed enthusiasm of local buyers. This is our tribute to those surviving vines and is made in the traditional Barossa manner , rich and rewarding upon release and beautifully ethereal with age. Varietal : 100 percent Shiraz Regions : Marananga, Koonunga Hill, Moppa, Gomersal (6 x 75 cl)

Peter Lehmann WILDCARD Shiraz South Australia

The bouquet has a lovely plum fruit with leafy notes while the palate has a beautifully soft, fruit driven style showing typical shiraz richness reined in by the soft tannin finish. The Peter Lehmann winemakers have identified Shiraz vineyards which will give grapes of the quality they seek. Majella Estate SPARKLING Shiraz Coonawarra South Australia
Description: Sparkling red wines are a great Australian tradition, and along with other wineries Majella has kept the tradition alive with its very popular sparkling Shiraz. The Shiraz is barrel fermented for six months in American oak and then the wine then undertakes a secondary fermentation in the true 'methode champenoise'. After twelve months on 'lees', the wine is disgorged and a small amount of 'liquer' is added. In the true Aussie tradition some vintage port is used to do this. Limited Availability. (12 x 75 cl)

Farmer's Daughter Shiraz Mudgee NSW Australia
Description: Medium to full purple-red; clean, fresh, bright dark cherry fruit on the bouquet introduces a beautifully balanced and proportioned wine, with a mix of spicy/earthy secondary aromas. The palate is medium bodied with flavours all in a savoury spectrum. Estate produced from relatively young vines, and showing exceptionally skilful winemaking. This is what Australian Shiraz’s are all about. A fantastic example of a more subtle Australian Shiraz at its best – a medium bodied red with spicy/earth flavours and dark fruits. Mudgee is a small wine region to the north west of Sydney. It has some great red clay soils ideal for viticulture. Farmers Daughter is a boutique winery proud of its Mudgee and family routes. Lance and Gwen turned from farming to winemaking and named the winery for their daughters Michelle and Vicki. They recruited award winning winemaker Joe Lesnik who started making wine as an apprentice 38 years ago. Their 1999 Shiraz won the outstanding wine at the Mudgee Wine Show in 2001 and they have never looked back. We have two of their outstanding reds in the Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz and these bottles are prime examples of premium Aussie reds. (12 x 75 cl)

Glaetzer BISHOP Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia
Description: Colin Glaetzer established Glaetzer wines in the Barossa in 1995. Colin had previously made some of the finest wines in the Barossa, including the renowned E & E Black Pepper Shiraz and Ebenezer range of wines. The wines have great concentration and complexity, with none of the over-ripe character that can mark some Australian wines. The fruit has a natural intensity of flavour. Bishop Shiraz shares many qualities with its 'big brother' Glaetzer Shiraz. This full-bodied wine is made redominantly from 30 to 60-year-old vines at Ebenezer and always contains material from the oldest 80-year-old vines. It is made from fruit components which are more up-front and generous (6 x 75 cl)
