New Wave Wines is a relatively new Company who make wine from grapes grown in England. They consider that being English they do not have a long history of wine-making or many familiar grape varieties. However, they see that as a strength and come without the baggage of snobbery, tradition and convention; while they produce fresh wines, fresh ideas with fresh energy. This unique Rosé could only come from England and is a blend of Pinot Noir, Rondo, Regent and Schonburger grapes. Showing a vivid rose pink colour, with strawberries and shortbread on the palate it delivers a creamy finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Chateau Lezongars Chateau de Roques Blanc 1er Cotes de Bordeaux
Description: Philip Iles and family moved to the sleepy village of Villenave de Rions in 1998. In doing so he realised a dream, as he now owned his own vineyard. Three years on he is making some of the Premiere Cotes de Bordeaux most exciting wines. They are certainly at the cutting edge of the New Wave of Bordeaux wines; New World attention to fruit but still a respect for the best of the Old World traditions and terroir is proving to be an effective formula in both the Lezongars and de Roques ranges. This fresh lively wine has a fruity open palate. Very much in the style of the new wave Bordeaux Sauvignon Blanc wines. (12 x 75 cl)

English Wines Group CHAPEL DOWN Brut Kent England
Description: New Wave Wines is a relatively new Company who make wine from grapes grown in England. They consider that being English they do not have a long history of wine-making or many familiar grape varieties. However, they see that as a strength and come without the baggage of snobbery, tradition and convention; while they produce fresh wines, fresh ideas with fresh energy. An excellent example of the suitability of England for making high-quality sparkling wine. Bottle fermented using a blend of Muller-Thurgau , Reichensteiner and Pinot Noir grapes and then aged for twelve to eighteen months. 'Light and very much fruit driven, the palate is almost toasty in the style of a very classy.' Joe Fattorini, The Herald.
