Bodegas Faustino CAMPILLO PAGO CUESTA CLARA RARO Rioja
Description: Don Eleuterio Martinez Arzok was born in Barriobusto. In 1861 he bought a house and lands in Oyon and founded the Faustino Group. At the turn of the century the vineyards were totally destroyed by phylloxera. His son Don Faustino Martinez Perez de Albeniz was born in 1904 and, in 1920, he helped his father rebuild and restore the vineyards. Faustino began bottling their wines in 1930 and by 1957 Don Julio Faustino Martinez, the third generation, took over the family business and in 1960, the Faustino brand was created in honour of his father. Today, the Faustino group owns several Bodegas including the 50 hectare estate Bodegas Campillo. Cuesta Clara is a 7.5 hectare estate with very low yielding vines that are over 50 years old. This wine is made from 100% Tempranillo Peludo, a rare clone of Tempranillo. Great care is taken with this wine and that is reflected in the Ageing in French Allier oak casks that lasted for 26 months before being aged in the bottle. Intense and lively cherry red coloured wines with orange reflections it has a generous and distinctive bouquet of ripe fruit blended with vanilla and licorice accents. Firmly structured, with lively tannins this red wine is full, fleshy and expressive. Limited Availability and produced only in a Magnum bottle. (1 x 1.5 Litres)

W & J Graham's LBV Port
Description: Like Vintage Port, LBV is a wine of a single year but it is not a 'declared' Vintage Port. Whereas Vintage Port spends only two years in casks and then matures in bottle, LBV is aged solely in cask and then bottled at between four and six years old. At the time of bottling it has completed its maturation and is ready for drinking without the need for decanting. Graham's LBV has much of the rich full fruity flavour and 'grip' of Vintage Port, combining this with a softness gained through oak ageing. (180 x 5 cl)
