Description: The Quinta do Infantado Ports are grown, made and bottled at the Quinta, located near Pinhão, at an altitude of 150 meters, in a sub-region called Gontelho, which has long been renowned as a source of outstanding Port. The winery was established in 1816 by D. Pedro IV, the Portuguese crown heir. This is the origin of the Quinta's name: Infantado derives from Infante, the Portuguese for Prince. The LBV 2000 was aged in two large oak vats for 4 years. It is very dark, almost opaque in colour. All the vineyards at Quinta do Infantado are class A . This gives wine of great power and intensity.
