Wine Description: 100% Tempranillo. Aged for 7 months in American oak and 3 months in French oak. Predominant red fruit characteristics, complemented by hints of vanilla and cinnamon. Description: Bodegas Ventosilla, which is situated just a few kilometres from Aranda de Duero, was purchased in 1989 by a group of businessmen from Madrid. 1997 saw the release of their first wines and many people from Ribera del Duero believe that this bodega is going to be one of the most important in the region. This Crianza is a blend of Tinta Fina 95%, Cabernet Sauvignon 3% and Merlot 2%. It is fermented in stainless steel vats at 26ºC and macerated for 15 days. It then remains in American oak casks for 12 months followed by a period of 6 months in French oak vats and 12 months in the bottle. Ruby red colour with intense iodised undertones, the wine has medium opaqueness, a good body and is perfectly clean. A tremendously complex and personal bouquet, at first, it offers aromas of fruit, forest and even flowers, which then grow into more powerful aromas with the oxygenation in the glass, which gives it a unique personality. The tannins are generous, pleasant and bring together the wood and the wine in an unbeatable way, while it offers vanilla, coconut, cinnamon, nuts with a lasting velvety finish. Description: The main variety used in this wine is Tinta Fina from the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin, together with a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot . Great care is taken from the vineyard to the winery as this wine spends 24 months in Oak ageing. This is a ruby red colour with glints of gold, brilliant and very opaque, typical of the good wines of the Ribera del Duero. A very complex bouquet, with a predominance of aromas of fruit and compote and once decanted, its complexity becomes more noticeable, with a mineral bouquet and a predominance of roast and smoked aromas. Description: Bodegas Rey Fernando de Castilla is a small, family owned producer offering only the very best products from the sherry district for a demanding and select group of consumers. These wines belong to a collection of unique sherries that are all truly magnificent examples of their particular style. The wines have been aged to perfection in our cellars in the historic centre of Jerez de la Frontera, and after having been drawn from each individual Solera the wines are bottled without any blending, clarification, cold stabilization or other aggressive processes that could remove the subtlest fragrances and flavour from the wines. In order to show the beautiful colour of the wines,they are presented in clear glass bottles of the highest quality. Since the wines are completely natural and untreated, some sediments might develop after a certain period in the bottle. This will not affect the quality of the wine. This is a wine that has spent a longer than normal period in a Fino Solera and has developed towards a style that is fuller in flavour and more complex than the light style which currently fashionable.
