Livio Felluga ILLIVIO Pinot Bianco Friuli-Venezia Giulia
Description: The 'Illivio' Pinot Bianco from Livio Felluga is a complex and full-bodied wine with notes of white flowers, exotic fruit and a hint of spice on the nose. Rich, creamy and honeyed on the palate it is well balanced and has very good length. Founder Livio Felluga was one of the great names of Italian wine. Recently revitalised by his two sons Andrea and Maurizio, this 139 hectare estate is now well on the way to reclaiming its rightful place among the great producers in Italy. The energy injected into the estate by the younger generation of the family has been harnessed by consultant viticulturalist/winemaker Stefano Chioccioli (6 x 75 cl)

La Prendina Pinot Bianco Garda DOC
Description: The Azienda Agricola La Prendina was acquired in 1958 and at first the wines were sold under the Cavalchina brand. The first wine to use the name of La Prendina was a Merlot bottled in 1980 for Gualtiero Marchesi, but it was only in 1990 that the wines were sold under the name La Prendina. An excellent varietal, but often rather temperamental to cultivate, it produces a wine that is medium bodied and with a fresh, clean flavour. The grapes are picked during the early part of September, pressed and the must is fermented at 18 0 C for about two weeks. Next the wine is taken off the lees and there is no malolactic fermentation. Finally, it is bottled in December to retain its freshness and released from the beginning of January. In the vineyard La Prendina aims to grow full flavoured concentrated grapes while the task in the cellar is to express the nature of the grape and terroir. This has produced an absolutely delicious blend of citrus fruit and balancing acidity that shows just how good the Pinot Bianco variety can be. (12 x 75 cl)

San Michele Appiano SANCT VALENTIN Pinot Bianco Sudtirol Alto Adige DOC
Description: Pinot Bianco, the most typical of the South Tyrolean grape varieties, is a welcome new addition to the prestigious Sanct Valentin range. Clear, straw yellow in colour with slightly green reflections. Intense, typically fruity aromas on the nose of ripe apples and pears combine perfectly with hints of melon and just a trace of vanilla, thanks to its time in oak. Concentrate and rich to taste, the Pinot Bianco Sanct Valentin is refreshing and lively despite the oak maturation. (6 x 75 cl)

Colterenzio CLASSICI Pinot Bianco Alto Aldige
Description: Greenish yellow in colour, Pinot Blanc grown in the Eppan area develops a distinctive though discreet aroma of ripe apple. By virtue of the altitude and sharp contrast between day and night time temperatures, even when the grapes are fully ripe with a high concentration of sugar this wine always displays a firm backbone of acidity to balance the opulent body. It is eminently enjoyable for social drinking and as an aperitif, though also makes an excellent food wine and goes well with a variety of fish dishes and lightly flavoured white meats. (6 x 75 cl)

Goriska Brda QUERCUS Pinot Bianco Slovenia
Description: The Goriska Brda wine cellar was built in 1957 and is a great viticultural region. The Slovenian word 'brda' means 'hills' and this is the simplest description of Goriska Brda: a region of low rounded hills in the western part of Slovenia, with a Mediterranean climate. The soils of Goriska Brda are marl and sandstone and the hills are very prone to erosion, so most of the vineyards must be terraced. Near the coast the vineyards open out towards the Mediterranean and take advantage of 2,900 sunny hours a year. This wine is a yellow-gold colour with fresh-fruit aromas as well as hints of apple, strawberry leaves, grapefruit, quince, and also caramel. The body is round and rich, with a lemon and grapefruit appeal and a nice finish. (12 x 75 cl)
