Cantina Valpantena FALASCO Garganega Vendemmia Tardiva Veronese IGT
Description: The Falasco Garganega is sourced from selected vineyards throughout the Valpantena region north of Verona. The Garganega grapes get extra concentration and ripeness from a late, hand-picked harvest. Half of the wine is stored in stainless steel tanks on lees and the other half is aged in wood to add greater depth and complexity. This late harvest wine is rich and creamy, with a refreshing citrus flavour and a mineral yet soft, complex texture. (12 x 75 cl)

Cantina Valpantena FALASCO Ripasso Valpolicella DOC
Description: This prestigious wine is obtained by an ancient tecnique known in the Veronese area as 'Ripasso'. This tecnique consists of giving more body and character to Valpolicella wine by running it over the residue of the dried grapes used in the production of Amarone Falasco. This procedure and subsequent refining by means of storage for at least one year in small casks made from French oak, reinforce the structure, colour, and flavour of Valpolicella without altering its freshness. This wine is a blend of Corvina Veronese 70% and Rondinella 30% traditionally drunk with game, grilled meats, stews and well matured cheeses. (12 x 75 cl)

Bertani Recioto della Valpolicella Valpantena DOC
Description: Dominated by 80% Corvina Veronese and 20% Rondinella this classic dessert wine is made from carefully selected, fully ripened grapes that, immediately following harvest, are partially dried in farmhouses on traditional straw mats called "arelle" for up to 150 days to concentrate the sugars. The resulting wine is aged for 18 months in Allier barriques followed by a period of refinement in bottle. Brilliant purple coloured wine with a compelling fragrance that mingles classic notes of prune, raspberry, spice, hay and cocoa. Full-bodied, rich and enjoyably sweet, the residual sugar is perfectly balanced against a backbone of fruit and fine tannins, with lingering flavors of wild berries, chocolate and licorice. Available in 50 cl bottles. (6 x 50 cl)
Price: £127.22

Masi MEZZANELLA Recioto Amandorlato Classico Veneto
Description: The term "recioto" probably comes from the dialect word "recia" which means the upper and outer parts of the bunches of grapes. These "recie" are the grapes which are ripest and which enjoy the best exposure to the sun. The word "recia" may be derived from the Latin word "racemus" which means bunch. Our opinion is that the word comes from the Latin "recisus" that means a bunch cutted and let down to dry. Recioto is the standard (6 x 75 cl)
