Description: The results we are getting are exciting with a combination of great colour and depth of flavour with high natural acidity and layers of fine soft tannins. Made in a similar manner to Schoolhouse Block with a few days maceration post fermentation this wine balances the rich ripe Merlot fruit characters of top Californian styles with the leaner more structured style of Bordeaux.In a world of soft innocuous Merlot on the one hand and over ripe extracted high alcohol blockbusters on the other, this wine has the fruit cake aromas, mouthwatering acidity, layers of silky tannins and structure which are classic hallmarks of the variety.
