Back in the 1970s John was one of the first farmers to plant vines in Marlborough and a bit later on Brent became one of the first NewZealanders to graduate from Adelaide’s Roseworthy College – where coincidentally, he was a roommate of d’Arenberg’s Chester Osborn! Returning to Marlborough, Brent founded WitherHills using his father’s fruit and quickly built a formidable reputation for his wines.
