Description: The Chianti Classico Riserva Ducale is a selection of the best Sangiovese; as well as other red varieties admitted by Chianti Classico code; during harvest. Once in the wienry the fruit complets malo-lactic fermentation and is then aged in stainless-steel vats for a brief period and then in 40/80 hl. oak casks. Finally, the wine has undergone a minimum of 3 month's bottle refinement. Ruby red with garnet hues Riserva Ducale is characterised by particularly fragrant, fruity notes including sweet cherries and red berry fruits while there are delicate spicy hints of cigar box and white pepper grains as well as elegant scents of red roses and flint. Fruity, soothing and well-balanced, the taste reveals velvety tannins and lots of fruit.
