Description: This wine is from the SaliceSalentino estate called Maiana. It is a blend of Negroamaro 90% Malvasia Nera of Lecce 10%. Harvested by hand great care is taken from the vineyard to the winery. Here the carefully selected grapes are macerated at a checked temperature of 25-27º C. for at least 10 days. Then a malolatic fermentation will follow and, finally, refinement in oak barrels for about 10 months before the wine is released. A ruby red coloured wine with garnet reflections upon ageing it has a vinous, intense and delicate bouquet. Dry harmonious with a velvety flavour this wine goes well with red meant. One of the oldest winery in Italy, founded in 1665 by duke Oronzo. He came into possession of as much as 5 thousand hectares, planted with new vines and olive trees and wheat.
