Le Baroncole Chianti Classico Le Baroncole is made from 97% Sangiovese and 3% Canaiolo grapes. The initial stages of its production are the same as for our Chianti Classico. It is then aged in French oak barriques for a period which varies from 16 to 20 months, according to the vintage. It is bottled unfiltered and held for a further six months, before it is released. Le Baroncole is a wine of long ageing potential. (6 x 75 cl)

San Giusto a Rentennano Chianti Classico DOCG
Description: Grapes: Sangioveto 95 %; Canaiolo 5 % It is fermented in glazed concrete and stainless steel vats for about 14 days. During fermentation the skins and must are pumpedover and punched-down a number of times to extract the maximum qualities from the grapes. After the wine has been racked, the skins are soft-pressed in an horizontal press and the juice thus obtained is added to the wine. Malolactic fermentation is stimulated by heating the building where the vats are stored. The wine is aged in medium sized casks and oak Tonneaux for about 10-12 months, during which period it is racked several times. Before being released, it is held in bottle for at least another 4-5 months. Thinning out of grapes: 50%. A rainy summer, especially in the period August (12 x 75 cl)

Podere Le Bonce LE TRAME Chianti Classico
Description: Giovanna Morganti is quickly becoming recognised as one of the best of the new generation of Tuscan winemakers. Her small estate is only three hectares and her only wine is called 'Le Trame' signifying the wheeling and dealing required to purchase the land. Giovanna's father was a legendary winemaker who believed in Tuscan varietals long before the flying oenologists identified this area as super pay-dirt. She studied oenology herself and went to the work in the mid 1980s for San Felice wines in Castelnuovo Berardenga, near Siena, on a project to plant around 300 traditional Tuscan grape varietals collected from old vineyards. When Giovanna's father gave her a small farm with olive groves, called Le Boncie, she added a vineyard planted with her favourites from the experimental project (6 x 75 cl)
