Pure, sleek fruit characteristics and minimal malolactic fermentation give the wine a crisp, clean feel. The result is a bright, fresh wine chockfull of juicy Bartlett pear flavors, with a subtle hint of praline. The addition of Viognier to the blend lends an opulent richness and floral notes leads to a tangy finish.' (6 x 75 cl)

Umberto Cesari RISERVA Sangiovese di Romagna DOC
Description: For Umberto Cesari, stubborn by nature, producing good wine is a family tradition with deep roots in this area of Romagna. It is here that Umberto and his wife Giuliana chose to start their Company in 1965 by buying 20 Hectares of land in the hills between 200 and 380 Metres above sea level which extend from the Via Emilia towards the Apennine Mountains and the border of Tuscany. From then on, he has continually expanded and increased the quality of his wines and today the Company extends over an area of 100 hectares. Here it is divided into distinct vineyards of La Casetta, Parolino, Ca Grande and Laurento. The Sangiovese grapes behind this red wine come from areas especially suited for the production of this great red wine. The vineyards are located around the hills surrounding Castel San Pietro and Imola and great care is taken from the vine to the winery. Only the best clusters are made into wine, and fermentation takes place in conditioned tanks with temperature control. This is followed by 24 months' ageing, partly in Slavonia and Allier oak. This Sangiovese di Romagna Riserva has an intense ruby red colour with a touch of pomegranate, while the aroma is vinous, intense, with a touch of violet. The flavour is full, rich and dry, showing good tannic structure with a pleasing finish. Available in Magnum bottles. (12 x 75 cl)

Hugely intense nose with big, ripe fruits and chocolaty oak with massive, opulent, black cherry fruit, toasty oak flavours. In the mouth, the massive structure with its complicated tannic structure is complimented by the dominating fruit. With a fantastic palate and great persistence this is a wine to be enjoyed. Description: The Pallavicini family have been in Lazio since the second half of the 17th Century, and as such their story is linked with that of the region in a range of agricultural activities. The vineyards are situated in the picturesque hills south of Rome and on the Mediterranean coast next to the Tuscan border. There are currently 78 ha under vine but, due to strong demand from abroad for the wines, expansion is currently taking place. The sites are meticulously matched to the grape varieties, which is a mix of both traditional and international varietals. Among the principle white varieties can be found: Trebbiano Toscano, Malvasia del Lazio, Malvasia di Candia, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Greco, Grechetto, Bonvino. While, the red cultivars include: Sangiovese, Cesanese, Merlot, Cabernet sauvignon, Montepulciano, Ciliegiolo and Petit Verdot. Today the traditions of the Pallavicini estate have been merged with the latest oenological practises ensuring the highest standard of wine production. The grapes are handled with great care as the 25 year old Sangiovese vines are managed to deliver reduced yields, undergo a prolonged maceration with the skins; and finally aged in cask. Description: Based in the Limari Valley, Casa Tamaya is located in Cerrillos de Tamaya in Chile's IV Region, and has recently been recognized for its extraordinary potential for producing fine wines, due to its ideal climate and soils. Vina Casa Tamaya is set in 210 hectares of which 108 of are planted to vines. The vineyards were established in 1997 and its primary white grape varieties are Chardonnay, Viognier, and Sauvignon Blanc and the red grapes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenere, Syrah and Sangiovese. Coriole Estate Sangiovese McLaren Vale South Australia
Description: Depending on the vintage, a portion of Sangiovese is kept in stainless steel, a portion into newer oak barrels, and the majority is matured in older oak. These components are blended together prior to bottling. The resultant wine is lighter to medium bodied, frequently showing rich fruit flavours of dark cherry and spice balanced by crisp acidity. It is an ideal accompaniment to many types of food including rich Italian pasta and mild Thai dishes. Careful cellaring for 3-5 years will allow this wine to develop extra complexity. Coriole Estate was established by the Lloyd family in 1967 in the hills overlooking the McLaren Vale wine region and Gulf St Vincent.
