Campagnola CATERINA ZARDINI Amarone del Valpolicella Classico
Description: A classic wine with the grapes selected from 36 hectars of hillside vineyards in some of the best viticultural areas in the comune of Marano. Each cluster rigorously graded and hand-picked, with Luigi Campagnola selecting the best lots on arrival to make the Caterina Zardini. The 1999 Growing year was excellent in the Valpolicella viticultural area, with concentraded juice and above average skin-thickness, while the weather was perfect during harvest period. Deep garnet-red colour tinged wine with purple hints. Heady, spicy bouquet with intense, multy-layered aromas of ripe cherry, bitter almond and toasty vanilla. Opulent silky texture, with full, rich flavors in the mouth carrying throught to a very lenghty, pleasantly bitter finish. (6 x 75 cl)
