Description:
La Vigne Blanche comes from vines grown on slopes separating the village of Chavignol from Sancerre, the terroir being an amalgam of clay and limestone chalk. Oak aged in barrel for five months on the fine lees, La Vigne Blanche is vinous with herbaceous notes of elderflower and ivy as well as a hint of kiwi fruit. (6 x 75 cl)

Domaine Cordier VILLES VIGNEBLANCHE Pouilly-Fuisse
Description: This estate was founded in 1945 by Gustave Cordier, later run by Roger Cordier and now by his son, Christophe. It is Christophe’s talent and passion that have given the estate its reputation as one of the finest domaines of the Maconnais. Cordier is traditionally the last to harvest in Fuisse, additionally, he trains his vines for minimal production, and therefore maximum concentration (10 to 15 hectolitres per hectare is quite common. Once in the winery, fermentation is followed by over a year in Seguin-Moreau barrels and regular batonnage. Looking around the cave one can’t fail to notice the impressive, large new oak barrels in which Christophe cultivates his extraordinary wines. The result, somehow, is that the wines always have the intensity and concentration to balance this oak treatment.
