Les Vignerons d'Alignan du Vent produce Les Mointrarels wines in Cotes de Thongue, approximately 30 miles south-west of Montpellier. In a great region to produce wines the terror benefits from the mediterranean climate and from the mediating effects of the north wind to produce wines of great character. This Sauvignon Blanc, produced from 10 year old vines, is a pale gold colour with pearly highlights. The Nose is showing a strong initial bouquet of flowers while it is delicate, yet full and soft on the palate. Becoming elegant and creamy when served with fish in sauce or clams, the Alignan wine-farmers suggest you also try it as aperitif. (12 x 75 cl)

Pascal Jolivet ATTITUDE Sauvignon Blanc Vins de Pays du Jardin de la France
Description: For several years, New Zealand has been crowned King of the World of Sauvignon Blanc, but in recent times the vignerons of the Loire have been fighting back. One of those at the forefront of the counter-attack is the dynamic Pascal Jolivet. If you've never tried any of Pascal's Sancerres or Pouilly Fumes, be assured that they are at once authentically Loire, while resolutely modern. Attitude is a new venture for him. The grapes come from vineyards within the Touraine AOC, but since Pascal chose to vinify them in his cellars in Sancerre, the wine has to settle for a vin de pays designation. Those in search of fruit will find it here in abundance: gooseberries and citrus fruit in particular. Those looking for more complex notes will find overtones of nettles, flint and minerals. The overall impression is of drinkability mixed with elegance, a very satisfying combination.' (12 x 75 cl)
