Description: A blend of 70% Bobal and 30% Tempranillo, Rozaleme’s deep colour and intense tightly knit fruit makes it an impressive wine and one that underlines the great potential that exists in Spain. Working with Toni Sarrion of Bodega Mustiguillo, consultant winemaker Alberto Antonini has been able to select some prime Bobal and Tempranillo vineyards with which to produce Rozaleme. Cherubino Valsangiacomo CASTILLO de BETERA Red Valencia
Description: Tasting notes: Ruby red in colour with a hint of purple youth. Vibrant red fruit on the nose and palate with firm yet round tannins. The wine is medium to full bodied with a good length. Bobal: A dark grape. It is a vigorous and rustic vine-stock, larger sized with high productivity producing abundant musts being well balanced and with relatively high acidity. This grape produces high quality red and rose wine of intense colour and with a considerable fruity aroma. Monastrell: Considered to be one of the best varieties of dark grape from Spain. A medium sized vine-stock, very rustic and low production but very resistant to the drought. Cultivated in the sub zone Clariano, this variety produces a very sweet must from which great quality wines are obtained with higher alcohol, intense colour and great aroma. Bodega Mustiguillo FINCA TERRERAZO Utiel Requena Spain
Description: The dense purple coloured Finca Terrerazo, which is made up of 40% Bobal, 40% Tempranillo and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, exhibits an intense bouquet of blackberries, raspberries and cherries. It is elegant and fresh, yet in a dense, multi layered and medium body style that shows ripe tannins with considerable complexity. Toni Sarrion has set himself a very clear goal: to make Mustiguillo one of Spain’s top estates. He has 220 hectares of vineyard currently planted, but is replanting all vineyards so that they have the right varieties and training system. He is champion of the local Bobal variety and is convinced that the best way to get top quality from this variety is to use the bush system of training. All the grapes are hand harvested and vinification takes place in small open top wooden tanks, while the cap is worked by punching down by hand. (6 x 75 cl)
