The vineyard used in this blend is located in the town which has a warmer microclimate than those vineyards set outside the village. Chateau Cheval Brun practice the modern techniques of green harvesting and leaf pulling to ensure a ripe crop with low yields and excellent concentration. After hand harvesting the grapes they are sorted before vinification of around 3 weeks in thermo-regulated vats. Finally, after spending 18 months in the barrel, the wine is bottled and ready for release. This has produced a deep ruby red coloured wine that is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon with a little Cabernet Franc. An exceptional Grand Cru with many years of ageing ahead of it.
