This new wine from Taittinger is the culmination of Claude Taittinger's desire to produce a Grand Cru blend on a par with the Vintage Champagne. The wine is a 50/50 blend of Chardonnay from the Cotes des Blanc and Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims area . Made to the elegant house style, it is a brilliant pale yellow with silvery highlights. Fine bubbles from a lasting, delicate creamy mousse whilst subtle, fresh floral aromas of elderberry with slightly spicy overtones through to an initial fresh, citrussy palate, finishing long and rich with hints of peach. This champagne is composed of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir. The Chardonnay grapes are selected mostly from the grandscrus of the Cote des Blancs, the Pinot Noir grapes are from the crus of the Montagne de Reims and Vallee de la Marne.
