Casa Lapostolle TANAO ROUGE Rapel Valley Chile Description: Deep and intense red ruby color. Fresh, complex and generous nose of red fruit, mainly strawberry, raspberry, and blackberry, with some spicy notes coming out after a little while. In mouth, the wine is well balanced, with a certain amount of nice, smooth and well-integrated tannins. The wine fills the mouth with great persis-tence and has a spicy finish. A very approachable, charming and attracti-ve blend to enjoy now or to cellar for a few years.Vineyard: Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines planted in 1992 in our Las Kuras vineyard on alluvial terraces of the Cachapoal River. The soils are shallow, with abundant round stones and gravels, that provide excellent drainage, aeration and low yield. Carmenère vines planted in 1997 in our Apalta vineyard on sandy soils covering a layer of clay. The sandy soils are poor, but the rather high level of the water table ensures an adequate water supply to the vines, with progressive stress in summer that favors the ripeness of the fruit. Grape Variety : Blend of 44% Cabernet Sauvignon
