Tasting Light straw yellow color, with constant strings of fine bubbles. The fragrance is reinforced by the extraordinarily rich natural sugar content, perfectly balanced by the right degree of acidity. Vineyard/TerritoryGrapes cultivated in a single, historic vineyard in Castiglione Tinella. Wine Production The grapes are picked in wicker baskets, pressed and the must is kept at low temperatures. The wine is then bottled immediately after fermentation. We are enchanted by this extroverted, sunny Moscato, which we have called Bass Tuba ever since, back in the nineteen- eighties, we were the first to break with tradition and modernize the image then associated with Asti Spumante. Bottling it in a Bordeaux bottle normally utilized for an important red and a careful selection and reduction of vineyard yields, maniacally scrupulous cellar handling and bottle aging finished the job. Today, Bass Tuba is still a Cru and still provides full satisfaction, even in the new half-bottle format. A key feature is its low alcohol content, making it a wine everyone can drink, perfect for toasts on any occasion. It should always be stored and served well chilled. We are still convinced we have chosen the right instrument for the label, suggesting celebrations and rich band sounds, as distinctive as the aroma of Bava Moscato (12 x 37.5 cl)

La Spinetta BRICCO QUAGLIA Moscato D'Asti Piemonte
Description: The Rivetti family story begins in the 1890s, when Giovanni Rivetti, grandfather of the three Rivetti brothers, Carlo, Bruno and Giorgio, left Piedmont for Argentina. Like many Italians of that time, he dreamed of returning rich and a powerful man, perhaps even one day able to make a great wine in his homeland. He never did, though his son, Giuseppe did. Pin married Lidia, bought vineyards and began to make wine. In 1977 the family took up residence at La Spinetta in Castagnole Lanze and still run the estate today. The perfect summer backyard and patio wine, Moscato d'Asti is 'frizzante', redolent with the heady perfume of Muscat grapes. Its delicate sweetness and low alcohol makes this refreshing to sip on its own or together with various fruits. (6 x 75 cl)

Passum is their most famous wine, a Barbera made from partially dried grapes. Quantities are extremely limited and demand is high.
