Tenuta di Belguardo SERRATA DI BELGUARDO IGT Maremma Toscana
Description: This vineyard is owned by Castello di Fonterutoli and is the second wine of the winery. A blend of 40% Sangiovese, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot and is harvested by hand from September 22th for the Cabernet Sauvignon; for the Sangiovese it is picked from September 24th; and from September 10th for the Merlot. Ageing takes place in stainless steel tanks and afterwards in small French oak barrels for 10 months. A deep and intense ruby/purple coloured wine with rich and ample aromas, with notes which combine red and black fruit, herbs and tobacco, and well integrated oak A wine of excellent freshness and good structure, long and with notes of cherries and wild cherries on the aftertaste. Soft, well structured and long, it shows the most modern expression of the Maremma Territory. (6 x 75 cl)

Description: Made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes with a small percentage of Sangiovese and Merlot, this wine has a big character with an extraordinary reflection of the terroir in which it was created. A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon; 20% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot the garpes were hand picked from the start to mid September. The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks and afterward in small French oak barrels for 16 months. A brilliant an concentrated purple coloured wine with intense and smoky aromas. On the nose it has well balanced notes of red fruit, in particular wild cherries, along with a spiciness which gives greater complexity. The impressive tannic structure, much finesse and a notable persistence, are complemented by the sweet finish. A wine with the unmistakeable aromas and character of the Tuscan Maremma with potential for development over time. (6 x 75 cl)
