Description:
From a low yielding vineyard at 500m above sea level in central Tuscany. Cabreo is given long ageing in Allier barriques and in bottle before release. Complex, well structured wine of great finesse, depth of flavour and rich, intense bouquet. World famous as a Chianti producer, during the last 25 years Ruffino have diversified their production to become one of Tuscany’s most important ambassadors for quality wine. The Folonari family’s strategy of acquiring and developing “tenimenti” – individual estates in specialised zones – has given their portfolio great variety and personality. Ruffino now owns a total of 1,500 hectares of land including 400 under wine. This diversity reflects the best of both modern and traditional winemaking. The Ruffino flagship has always been the magnificent Riserva Ducale Chianti Classico, which was originally the private reserve of the Duke of Aosta. Ruffino’s new style of wines is well represented by Libaio, a delicious, fresh, lightly perfumed blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio (6 x 75 cl)

Description: This Valpolicella is a blend of 65% Corvina, 25% Rondinella, 10% Molinara. Pale ruby red colour it has a fresh and fruity bouquet with refreshing light juicy fruit. The history of Folonari dates from 1825 when Francesco Folonari founded the firm in Valmonica in the Veneto. In the later half of the 19th Century, he and his sons moved to Brescia, establishing one of Italy’s finest winemaking facilities. Folonari pioneered the production and distribution of wine in bottles, thus making it possible for consumers to drink wines of good and consistent quality on an everyday basis.
