Yalumba HAND PICKED Shiraz Viognier Barossa Valley South Australia
Description: The concept of blending Shiraz and Viognier is not new. It is derived from the great French wine region of Northern Rhone, in particular, the Cote Rotie area. Cote Rotie has often been described as one of France's finest and most perfumed red wines. W I N E S T Y L E Yalumba Hand Picked Shiraz + Viognier 1999 is deep cherry red in colour with purple hues. Lifted floral aromatics surround ripe fleshy plums, chocolate and dried fruits. On the palate, fine tannins support the intense flavours of ripe cherries, liquorice, anise and violets. This wine can be enjoyed now, but will benefit from medium term cellaring. The addition of Viognier to Shiraz intensifies the colour, adds an extra dimension and a wonderful fragrance to the bouquet, and brings softness to the rich and powerful Barossa Shiraz. This rare blend from Yalumba of 87% Shiraz and 13% Viognier is 100% Barossa, with the majority of the fruit sourced from the Eden Valley. (6 x 75 cl)

The Harlequin Chardonnay Viognier Victoria Australia
Description: This Chardonnay Viognier has been blended to produce a richly flavoured wine, the perfumed lift from the Viognier adding complexity to the stonefruit and citrus characters that typify Chardonnay from the Padthaway region of South Australia. The Harlequin, fashioned from feathers and brightly coloured silk, is one of the earliest hand-tied flies and has inspired a natural and purist approach to fly fishing. A similar winemaking philosophy is adopted with the production of The Harlequin range of wines. The connection between this Australian wine and fly fishing is simple (6 x 75 cl)
