Based on nearly twenty years of growing grapes and making wine, Sherwood Estate now specialise in SauvignonBlanc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling. Sherwood Estate produce three ranges of wines the Clearwater Range, the Sherwood Estate Range and thethe Stratum Range. The Clearwater range represents the very best varietal single vineyard wines from Sherwood Estate's own vineyards in Waipara. This is very much a hand crafted range both in the vineyards and winery, here meticulous care is taken to ensure that the wine produced is of the highest quality and reflects each vineyard's unique characteristics or 'terroir'. This SauvignonBlanc is produced from grapes grown on Sherwood Estate's Selmes Road and Hammerichs Road vineyards in Marlborough. After harvest, the grapes went to the winery where the freerun juice portion was selected for barrel fermentation and ageing. Next, the wine spent 10 months on lees prior to blending, fining and bottling. The Clearwater Vineyards SauvignonBlanc displays ripe passionfruit aromas supported by touches of capsicum.
