A fully declared year by most large shippers and La Rosa declared a small quantity of excellent wine. The port has complex aromas of violets and berries, a vibrant grip, and is well balanced with ripe fruity finish- all within the overall drier house style of La Rosa. The grapes used for this Vintage Port are in mixed plantations of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Amarela from the Meia Encosta between 30 and 60 years old. Vina La Rosa CORNELLANA Chardonnay Rapel Valley Chile
Description: This wine was made exclusively with the best grapes grown in La Rosa vineyards in the Rapel Valley. The whole berry clusters of grapes were pressed directly into pneumatic press. Seventy per cent of the wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks and 30% in new French oak . In both cases, the wine aged nine months on the lees. A 10% malolactic fermentation added subtle buttery notes and great complexity. Beautifully balanced wine shows magnificent aromas of tropical fruit, with crisp flavors. The rich mouthfeel gives way to a long, elegant finish. (12 x 75 cl)
