From one of Australia's leading premium quality wine producers, McWilliam's River Gum is produced at the Hanwood winery. McWilliam's River Gum range is comprised of well-made varietal wines of consistent style and minimal vintage variation. The blending of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon has been popular in Australia since the earliest days of winemaking and has produced many wines of notable character. This wine is a brick red colour with crimson hues and aromas of fragrant spice, forest berry and blackcurrant that combine with cedar, clove oak characters. The palate is vibrant and fresh with ripe plum, blackcurrant fruit flavours accompanied by spicy, vanilla oak, while the finish is quite long and soft. (12 x 75 cl)

Ashbury Grove Cabernet Shiraz Reserve South Eastern Australia
Description: This wine is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Shiraz that is almost opaque with a sweet nose of ripe dark fruits and hint of peppery spice. The palate is medium to full bodied with bags of rich fruit character, soft tannins and a long, concentrated finish. Ashbury Grove range is made by Kingston Estate, based at Kingston-On-Murray which is approximately 220 km from Adelaide in South Australia. Kingston Estate was founded by Sarantos and Constantina Moularadellis, who developed their 40 acre. Today Kingston Estate is the 10th largest wine producer in Australia and remains one of Australia's largest family-owned wineries. Sourced from vineyards in the Riverland area of South Australia, where Kingston Estate have been developing their vineyards since 1998. The Shiraz was harvested from selected vineyards in mid March at optimal fruit ripeness while the Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested in late March to early April to allow rich ripe fruit characters to develop. The parcels of grapes were kept separate throughout fermentation before being blended and oak matured. The aim was for a seamless integration of the Cabernet fruit structure and flavour intensity with the richness and warmth of Shiraz. . (12 x 75 cl)
