Description: Frescobaldi & Robert Mondavi have come together to produce an Italian wine that captures the La Dolce Vita lifestyle. This character is even reflected in the name Danzante which means dancing. The grapes for this wine are sourced from Trentino Alto Adige, Veneto and Fruli Venezia Giulia collectively know as 'Tre Venzie'. The vineyards in this region benefit from a climate conducive to growing fantastic Pinot Grigio grapes full of intense perfumes and silky texture. The grapes are selected by hand then pressed and cool fermented for 15 days. The wine is then aged in stainless steel tanks for 4 months to ensure good acidity and crispness before being released. This dry white wine has an intense bouquet with enticing fragrance of fresh citrus fruits and flowers. Description: Tommasi Viticoltori is a family firm founded in 1902 by Giacomo Tommasi and today the estate is run by the 4th generation of family. From grandfather Giacomo's tiny vineyard, the Tommasi estate has grown steadily and now extends over 135 hectares of hillside vineyard blessed by mother nature, not only by a magnificent landscape, but more importantly by its perfect suitability for grapes. The family owns exceptionally well situated estates for the production of high quality white wine in the D.O.C. regions of Soave and near Lake Garda for Lugana, Custoza and Bardolino . In addition, it has vineyards in Valdadige, a valley created by the Adige river in the mountains north of the province of Verona. Always keeping a careful eye on tradition while ever ready to accept innovation, the Tommasi family has planted a vineyard composed entirely of Pinot Grigio grapes, in the heart of its newest fields in the Valpolicella Classica region. Called 'Le Rosse', its vines have been subjected to close planting and the severest pruning, resulting in an extremely low yield of extraordinary richness. This 100% Pinot Grigio is moon yellow in colour with a clean and spicy fragrance showing typical hints of tropical fruit. Masi MASIANCO Pinot Grigio Verduzzo delle Venezie IGT
Description: Masi is well-known for its specialization in the production of red wines from the appassimento and double fermentation processes. For the production of Masianco, Verduzzo grapes are ripened further after picking; this unusual process for an elegant white wine makes for more roundness, body and richness, characteristics which complement the fine aromas and the elegant fruity notes of Pinot Grigio. The finely judged blend between the two native grape varieties and the particular winemaking technique contribute to the creation of a modern wine with a strong Venetian personality, a “Supervenetian” wine of unmistakable Masi style, like the well-known Campofiorin red. The two grape varieties are harvested at their optimal ripening time and vinified separately. Pinot Grigio grapes are harvested at the end of August and vinified immediately in order to enhance freshness and aromas. Verduzzo grapes are harvested at the end of September, then further ripened on racks for three weeks. This is a process particularly suitable to this varietal because of its thick skin and it makes for a better concentration of fruit. The Pinot Grigio is fermented at a low temperature and the malolactic fermentation is arrested before completion. The Verduzzo undergoes a short maceration at low temperature before fermentation in barrique where it also completes the malolactic fermentation. The two wines are blended before bottling. Description: In 1964 Dorino Livon purchased the first piece of property in the hills of Collio and step by step added new parcels to his portfolio. In this way, the Azienda Agricola Livon slowly but steadily continues to grow and continuing this trend Villa Chiopris was purchased in 1992. This seventy-hectare property lies between the towns of Chiopris and Viscone in a large plain, rich in iron and alluvial soils, that extends from the edge of the Veneto region in the west and the Colli Orientali del Friuli region in the east with the Moreniche hills to the North. The grapes are hand harvested and fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. They are then left for four months in the same tanks to mature, this is followed by a further 2 months refining in bottle before release.
