Vignerons de Valencay Sauvignon Blanc Vin de Pays Valencay Loire
Description: This Sauvignon Blanc, Vin de Pays du Val de Loire is made solely from Sauvignon Blanc. It is dry, yet aromatic, and has depth on the mid palate which makes it highly quaffable. Fermented solely in stainless steel, the wine has a fragrant, nettley character and crisp acidity on the finish. This Vin de Pays comes from the co-operative of Valencay and the winemaker is Sebastian Vaillant. The expression Vin de Pays du Val de Loire was created by a decree on 10th May 2007 and replaces the former name “Vin de Pays du Jardin de la France” for describing the local wines produced in the Loire Valley. The wine is bottled under stelvin so that it can be enjoyed free from cork taint and in perfect condition (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine De Gournier Vin de Pays Cevennes Blanc
Description: During September 2002, the Nimes area of southern France was absolutely deluged with rain, and the region suffered one of the worst floods in decades. The owner of Gournier, Maurice Barnouin, literally had to be helicoptered off the roof of his house to escape the torrential rain. His house, the adjoining winery, and most of the contents of his cellar, were carried down river. Since December 2002, Maurice Barnouin, the passionate owner of Gournier, has committed himself to the reconstruction of his life at Gournier, and has re-built a beautiful winemaking facility to receive the excellent 2003 harvest. Now owning over 200 ha of vineyards between Uzes and Nimes, the modern vinification methods and controlled yields ensure the consistency and personality of the range. This Vin de Pays by Gournier offers excellent value and this White wine is very clean and surprisingly perfumed. (12 x 75 cl)
