Concha y Toro MARQUES DE CASA Chardonnay Maipo Valley Chile
Description: This wine was named after the title bestowed upon the founder of the vineyard by the Spanish monarchy. Due to its exceptional quality, distinct personality and extraordinary ability to display all the virtues of each Chilean valley, Marqués de Casa Concha has earned its rank among the nobility of the world's finest wines. Today, Marqués de Casa Concha shows the great recent progress in the viticultural and vinicultural art in Chile. The grapes are manually harvested in March then the wine is fermented in new and used, medium-toasted French Burgundian barriques sur lie for 11 months. Once this is comple the wine is then aged for a further 4 months after bottling. This Chardonnay from the Santa Isabel Vineyard is a bright yellow coloured wine with tinges of straw, with an intense papaya and hazelnut aroma. Medium-bodied with a creamy palate and a core of peach-papaya accented flavours supported by refined oak compliment the long finish. (6 x 75 cl)

Vina Carmen Chardonnay Maipo Valley Chile
Description: • Winemaker Comments: The fruitiness in the nose and the freshness on the palate show a good example of a well balance wine. The complexity given by the oak adds a pleasant creamy sensation. The green-yellow littering colour reminds limes, peaches, pineapples and lemons. This medium-bodied wine has an elegant and long finish. • Winemaking techniques: 100% of the grapes were handpicked and carefully selected before pressing. The grapes were crushed and macerated with the skins for 5 hours. With the skin contact we are looking for the intensity of the aromas and the elegance in the palate, the vineyards from warmer areas of Casablanca give the structure and a very concentrated body. After the pressing, which is one of the most important steps for the white wines, the juice was finned, racked and fermented in tanks and in barrels , where it remained during 4 month before blending and bottling. No malolactic fermentation was made in this wine. (12 x 75 cl)
