Description: Vendange Tardive harvests must be made the object of a declaration prealable to the local Institut d'Appellations d'Origine des Vins. There they are both analysed and tasted. This wine is a beautiful, pale, green colour, elegantly refined with a silky aroma. On the palate there is a gentle spiciness under the sweetness. It lies on the sweeter side of medium in style, with pure lychee in the mouth, and balancing acidity against the sugar giving exceptional length and flavour. . Hugel et Fils SELECTION DE GRAINS NOBLES Gewurztraminer Alsace
Description: Available in Half bottles, the first vintage of the famous 1988-1989-1990 trology. The extremely favourable meteorological conditions, in particular at the end of the season, gave bunches that were perfectly healthy, exceptionally ripe, with good levels of acidity. Thanks to an long Summer, Hugel interrupted picking from 7th October until 7th November, with extraordinary results. Noble rot that developed during that period enabled Hugel to produce, for the first time since 1976, significant amounts of Selection De Grains Nobles wines. wines all come from the historic HUGEL family estates in the heart of the Grand Cru Sporen slope. As for the rest of our production, our grapes are harvested exclusively by hand. The grapes are taken in small tubs to the presses, which are filled by gravity, without any pumping or other mechanical intervention. After pressing, the must is decanted for a few hours, then fermented in temperature-controlled barrels or vats . The wine is racked just once, before natural clarification during the course of the winter. The following spring, the wine is lightly filtered just before bottling, and the bottles are then aged in our cellars until released for sale. Very intense yellow-gold colour, deep and rich. It has a complex, spicy bouquet of cinnamon, liquorice and roses. Soft, sweet , liqueur-like, very rich and harmonious. (12 x 37.5 cl)

Description: 1989 was an exceptionally ripe year, with must weights breaking all records, an excellent vintage that saw the highest ever production of Selection de Grains Nobles. As the year was so ripe Selection de Grains Nobles was made. Trimbach have only made this wine 7 times in 27 years, as it requires rare and exceptional conditions. 1989 was an exceptionally ripe year. This wine is a beautiful, rich, golden colour, elegantly refined with a powerful aroma of honey and gentle spice, with a slightly floral edge. On the palate this wine is hugely rich with massively concentrated fruit reminiscent of ripe orange marmalade. The finish of the wine has extraordinary length and all through is balanced by good acidity which freshens the sweetness. Sourced from the Grand Cru vineyards of Osterberg in Ribeauville, and the oldest vineyards in Hunawihr. (24 x 37.5 cl)
