Description: This superior Valpolicella, aged in barrique for twelve to sixteen months, is of ruby-red, almost garnet colour with intense, penetrating aromas and hints of toasted almonds and vanilla. Full, ripe and round on the palate, it is excellent with typical country dishes. Cecilia Beretta, pride of the Pasqua group, was born at the start of the eighties as an estate and advanced research centre. Guerrieri Rizzardi POJEGA Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso Veneto
Description: In 1796 Conte Antonio Rizzardi created the famous garden and green theatre of Pojega, set in the midst of the vineyards which surrounded his villa in Negrar di Valpolicella. Now, just as then, the wine coming from the cultivation at Villa Rizzardi of Pojega is considered a special reserve of the house. The grapes come from a vines selection of more than 25 years old. The wine process involves a secondary fermentation technique called ripasso. This traditional method consist in re-fermenting the wine in the already pressed skins of Amarone. The harvest took place in Pojega in the fist ten days of October. The final product is generous in perfumes that, in the best years, remind especially an intense note of truffles bouquet. Ideal tasting temperature: from 16 to 18ºC. Limited and numbered production. (6 x 75 cl)

Tedeschi NICALO Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC
Description: This is the typical Valpolicella Classico Superiore wine, made according to the best traditions and with all the characteristics of Tedeschi Family wines: good structure, delicate flavor, elegance. The grapes come from vineyards located in the Classic Valpolicella zone. Once vinification is complete the wine is left to age for approximately 2 years in oak barrels before it is bottled. During this ageing the wine acquires a balanced structure, new aromatic contents and its coloring substances are stabilized. Once it is bottled it is refined in the cellars for a further 6 months before it is placed on the market. Strong ruby red coloured wine with an ample and complex bouquet showing notes of cherry, raspberry and red currant that give freshness to the wine. Fruity, well-balanced and well-structured with the alcohol and acidity in good harmony, the wine is warm and round. The after-taste confirms the character of the bouquet while it has a long-lasting and persistent flavour. (12 x 75 cl)

Description: Tommasi Viticoltori is a family firm founded in 1902 by Giacomo Tommasi and today the estate is run by the 4th generation of family. From grandfather Giacomo's tiny vineyard, the Tommasi estate has grown steadily and now extends over 135 hectares of hillside vineyard blessed by mother nature, not only by a magnificent landscape, but more importantly by its perfect suitability for grapes. The family owns exceptionally well situated estates for the production of high quality white wine in the D.O.C. regions of Soave and near Lake Garda for Lugana, Custoza and Bardolino . In addition, it has vineyards in Valdadige, a valley created by the Adige river in the mountains north of the province of Verona. Ripasso Tommasi is the unique result of refermenting Tommasi Valpolicella Classico Superiore, on the warm dried grape skins from which Tommasi Amarone has been pressed. This process, used only in rare vintage years, imparts the richness of character and personality of a great wine to an already superior wine. Intense ruby red coloured wine blended from Corvina Veronese , Rondinella as well as Molinara grape varieties, and aged 24 months in Sloavian Oak barrels. Fabiano Moderna LA PIAZZOLA Valpolicella Classico Superiore Classico DOC
Description: The history of the Fabiano family in the wine-making industry started in 1912, when Francesco Fabiano, Nicola's son, opened a wine store in Venice, just a few steps from St. Marco Cathedral. His son Sergio, having made his store very popular in the whole city, started a wine trade throughout the Veneto region. A clever merchant and a charismatic character, in 1955 he engaged himself in the production and distribution of bottled wine, buyng a small estate in Lazise, on the Veronese shore of Garda Lake, for that purpose. Grown in the north of Verona the vineyard is crossed by a series of parallel hills sloping down the Adige river. The particulary generous nature of the soil, the right proportion of Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and Negrara grapes and the wise selection made by the vine-dressers has produced a wine of great character.
