Description: Intensely dark ruby red Pinot Noir showing a complex aroma of ripe dark fruits, hints of game, spice and toasty oak. The palate is rich with beautifully balanced fruit and smokey oak characteristics. Mouthfilling, the silk tannin structure and oak influence add to the persistent finish. Rise-and-Shine Creek is the home of gold mining in Bendigo, Central Otago. The grapes used for this wine are from the Clearvue Vineyard on the northern end of the Bendigo Loop road in the cool climate region of Central Otago. Once in the winery the wine went through 100 per cent malolactic fermentation and was stored in a mixture of new and one and two year old French oak barrels for six months before being stabilised and bottled.
